Berlin Travel Diary | Part Three

The final part of my Berlin travel diary is long overdue, but a crazy amount of university work is to blame! Our last morning in Berlin was spent wandering around Hackescher Markt, a shopping area that’s only a short walk from where we were staying at Alexanderplatz. I browsed around one of my favourite stores, Monki, and tried my best not to spend all of my money in there (so difficult!). We then spent a while popping into a few different shops. Aside from bigger brand names, you can also find some charming independent shops and cafes. But the best part of the morning was definitely stumbling upon Café Cinema, which has a courtyard covered entirely in graffiti. I could’ve spent forever taking photographs there, it’s definitely a place worth visiting if you’re in Berlin.

We had lunch at Dolores, a Californian-style burrito restaurant, which had a massive queue and I can see why. The burrito tasted amazing and their fresh homemade lemonade was lovely too. There was so much more we wanted to explore but unfortunately, our flight was in the afternoon, so we headed back to the hotel and picked up our bags. This was my second trip to Berlin but I don’t think I will ever get tired of it!

Have you got any trips planned for 2016?
