Brands I Love: Lazy Oaf

I’m quite surprised that I haven’t mentioned Lazy Oaf before. I’ve always been a fan of their quirky and fun designs so it’s about time I shared my love with you! And what better timing than when their latest out-there collection ‘Space Oddity’ has just landed in store? Drawing inspiration from sixties sci-fi and space age movies, it certainly doesn’t disappoint! A collection full of colourful pom poms and kaleidoscopic materials… Lazy Oaf are keeping it as odd as ever (and I’m loving it!)

Here’s a little background knowledge if you’re keen on finding out a little more about the brand. Lazy Oaf is a London based label founded by Gemma Shiel in 2001. Gemma started out hand-screen printing a small amount of T-shirts in her dad’s garage, selling them on a market stall in Spitalfields. Fast forward a couple of years and there’s now an ever-expanding Lazy Oaf line focused around cartoons, weirdness and colour. Although some designs might be a little too crazy for you, you’ve got to admit that you can’t help but smile at some of them! Here are some of my favourite pieces from their website...
