A brand I’ve been loving lately is Evolve Organic Beauty, which was set up to make it easy to be healthy and green in everyday life. Evolve products are all lovingly handmade using only natural and organic super foods, oils and butters from around the world. To ensure they are kept fresh, Evolve’s products are made in small batches at their studio workshop in Hertfordshire. I’ve been trying out two products from Evolve over the past month and I’ve been genuinely pleased with both of them.
〰 Evolve Tropical Blossom Body Polish* | 180ml | £20 〰
Evolve Tropical Blossom Body Polish_
The first product I’ve been trying from Evolve is the Tropical Blossom Body Polish, which is an oil-based soap free exfoliator. The polish contains organic sugar to buff away dead skin and Tahitian Manoi to keep skin soft and moisturised. Tahitian Manoi is considered “the sacred oil of the Polynesians,” and it’s made by soaking Tahitian Gardenia blossoms into coconut oil. I was really intrigued to try this and didn’t know what to expect scent-wise, but it sounded amazing. The polish is fragranced with exotic natural hibiscus and it has a lovely fresh floral scent that isn’t too overpowering.
Sugar*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glycerin*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Gardenia tahitensis flower extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Water*, Sucrose Laurate, Tocopherol, Amyl Cinnamal, Eugenol, Linalool. *ingredients from organic farming
Usually, I don’t tend to use body scrubs unless I’m having a bath, but I’ve been enjoying using this in the shower too lately. I massage the product in circular motions onto dry skin and can feel it working instantly. The sugar is very coarse so it’s great for getting rid of those tougher areas. After I’ve worked it in, I apply water on top so it turns into a creamy milk consistency that is easy to wash off. The mixture of Sweet Almond oil and Tahitian Manoi make my skin feel very hydrated anyway, but applying moisturiser on top will help to stop skin from drying out. There is actually a Tropical Blossom body buttertoo which would be perfect to apply afterwards. For £20 you get an 180ml jar, but there’s also the option to try out the 30ml travel size if you want to test it first. My skin feels much more nourished after use and the tropical blossom scent is heavenly.
〰 Evolve Lip Treat* | 30ml | £10 〰
Evolve Lip Treat_
I also picked up the Lip Treat from Evolve, a completely vegan and 100% natural lip balm for all skin types. Lip products are one of my favourite things, and the orange essential oil mixed with Shea and Cocoa butter sold this to me straight away.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter*, Glycerin*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Water*, Sucrose Laurate, Tocopherol, d-Limonene. *ingredients from organic farming
Shea butter is a skin superfood that is rich in vitamins A, E and F, helping to provide the skin with essential fatty acids and cocoa butter retains moisture in the lips and skin, which can also help slow down the signs of ageing. These two key ingredients work together to nourish and protect dry lips. Additionally, the blood orange essential oil is shown to promote the production of collagen and increase blood flow to the skin. When I was reading about these ingredients I expected the product to smell amazing – and it certainly does. The scent is definitely reminiscent of Terry’s Chocolate Orange, which I love so applying the lip treat gets quite addictive.
Application is very simple; the formula is like very hard butter but it melts straight away as you apply it onto your lips. Once it’s on it feels quite oily, so immediately my lips feel softer and moisturised. The product sinks in and disappears very quickly and I’ve had to reapply it often. For a lip treatment I would’ve expected it to stay on for much longer but for everyday use it’s not a problem. The 30ml tub seems like it’ll last forever and for £10 there is more than enough product. I’m not suffering with overly dry lips at the moment but I imagine the Lip Treat will be amazing for that, particularly in colder months. It has definitely been helping to keep my lips conditioned and the orange scent is incredible.
I’m super happy with both of these products from Evolve and there’s so much other stuff I want to try, particularly their Sunless Glow Body Lotion and their hair range.
